
Health Week: Champion Commuters Challenge
With so many of us working from home we’re missing out on those extra steps and journeys getting into the office each day. This Health Week, The Davies Foundation challenges you to participate in our working from home activity, the Champion Commuters Challenge. All you need to do is pledge to get active with some exercise every morning (or afternoon) from home for the week commencing 20 July! This could be a walk, run, cycle or even a scoot around your local area – whichever is your preferred means of transport.
To compete for prizes (optional), you can download the exercise app Strava to track your time moving and distance completed. Either share with us your achievements via a screenshot at the end of the week or link your Strava directly to the Davies Foundation Just Giving page.
Either donate the cost of your usual commute or set a target and encourage your friends, family or colleagues to sponsor you! We’ll feature a shout-out for best efforts in Bitesize.
We will award a £50 e-gift voucher each to:
The Champion Commuter – the longest time spent exercising on a single morning
The Consistent Commuter – the greatest time spent moving over the course of the week
The Inventive Commuter – the most unusual means of transport or route
